New Patient's Story
Cindy says she had just moved to the area and was looking for a dentist she felt comfortable with; she came to Dr. Katz and has stayed ever since, bringing her husband as well. She says Dr. Katz explains what he is doing, which eased her fear of dental work, and she now trusts him and does not worry about it. After an evaluation, she has had braces to straighten her teeth, a crown and a bridge, with whitening planned, and she says Dr. Katz put her on a cleaning regimen for the periodontal disease she had before coming to the practice. This story describes one patient’s experience; treatment plans and results vary.
Jamie's Patient Story
Jamie describes bringing her young son Ian to Dr. Katz: she says she was terrified on the first visit and expected a horrible experience, but Ian had a great time and enjoys coming back. She says Dr. Katz calls the dental chair his “magic chair,” raising and lowering it, and that he and his team make visits fun for children, even though going to the doctor can be scary for a little kid. She says she values having one dentist for her whole family in one location, in a professional atmosphere that is also fun for her kids, and she says she recommends Dr. Katz to people looking for a new dentist in the area. This story describes one patient’s experience; treatment plans and results vary.
Derek had battled addiction for 15 years and had been clean for three years when his mother, Debbie Mooney, wrote asking for help: years of drug use had left him with missing teeth, infection and intolerable pain, and she says shame had kept him from smiling. Dr. Katz agreed to evaluate him for implants, and on surgery day his team spent nearly six hours removing teeth and cleaning out infection before placing new implants. A few weeks later, Derek says his self-esteem is coming back and he is enjoying life again — he can smile, talk and laugh without feeling people are staring — and he says he hopes to move into management at work and to share his story with young people. This story describes one patient’s experience; treatment plans and results vary.
